Matthew was chosen by his art teacher to have one of his pictures displayed at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics. He loves to draw and was happy that his was chosen for everyone to see.

Matthew has a great teacher that really fits his personality. Ms. Smith asked all the kids to do a curiosity project. This is where they pick a topic they want to investigate or a skill that they want to learn.

Matthew picked crocheting. I was a little surprised but supportive. So Grandma taught Matthew how to crochet around a burp cloth and then they started a rug. The burp cloth Matthew made is on his poster behind him. After the class researches their topic they give an oral report about what they learned. Matthew was able to find out a lot of interesting facts about crochet and the many different types. He did an excellent job!
Way to go Matthew!

That would surprise me too, but it is always fun to hear what kids are interested in. It looks like he did a great job.
The burp cloth looks great, and his picture is really cool. He is very talented.
