Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween Ben was a pumpkin.

Scott was a cereal killer, Sam was Robin, Timmy was a knight, Matthew was supposed to be a dementor but I only had a scream mask, and Bethany was Cinderella.

It was a great Halloween! The older kids were able to get a few friends together and go out on their own so they could go faster than the little ones. Since we had trunk or treat over at the church we were able to walk down our road trick or treating with the little kids and then trunk or treat and then walk home. It was the perfect amount of walking and door bell ringing for the little kids and for me!

Happy Halloween!

Ben is 9 Months Old!

Ben has such a sweet personality! He is very patient and usually always happy. Ben loves all of his older siblings and thinks it's great when any of them sit down to play with him. He loves hair and when he snuggles he will generally grab some of mine to rub in his face.

At nine months Ben pulls himself up, walks around the furniture, loves to help out in the dishwasher, climbs the stairs, and likes to shut his eyes tight when he's playing with you and gets a little silly.9 month stats:

weight-21 lbs. 2 oz.

height-29 inches

head-18.5 inches

Whose Got Talent?

Our Ward has an annual talent show and to be honest I have never been before. But this year when they announced the talent show Matthew begged to be in it. He decided he was going to do a hulahoop routine with his friend Thomas.

I was so nervous for him but they both did a great job and it was really fun to watch. They started out standing up and then knelt down while they hulahooped. Then they took turns doing double hulahoops. After that they did a little jump roping. Then they turned off the lights because even though you can't see it in the pictures their hulahoops flashed lights. At this point they did free style. Thomas knelt down and Matthew walked around all while hulahooping! Wow!! They definitely have talent!Timmy was also in the talent show with his primary class. They dressed up as different animals and had the audience sing along to Old McDonald. Timmy was a chicken and wasn't too happy about it because the costume was bit too small.Sam wanted to be in the show too so Timmy's teacher let Sam dress up as a bee!

It's Gone!

Timmy lost his first tooth today! He was so excited but he was not excited about the way it came out (Matthew punched him in the mouth). The tooth had been loose for a while it just needed a little extra help and thanks to Matthew, Timmy finally gets to put his tooth under his pillow tonight!

Yay Timmy!

Bi-Zi Day

Today Sam and I got to go with Bethany to her preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. We went to Bi-Zi Farm this year. We had a great time and boy do they have that place run like a well oiled machine. First the kids went through the hay maze.
The maze is always fun because instead of just stacks of hay to find your way through they put in tunnels and big tires.
After the maze they move you on to see the animals. Sam thought this goat was very silly!
Bethany was brave enough to feed the animals all by herself this year!
After the animals we got to climb the hay pyramid. Bethany was so proud that she made it all the way to the top!
Bethany and Claire (Bethany's best friend at school)

Bethany was not afraid at all but Sam got a little scared when he got close to the top.
Then we all went for a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins.
After we got back they have a place for you to scrub your pumpkin. Sam and Bethany were working quite well together. Sam would pump the water and Bethany would scrub!
It always a fun and successful field trip when everyone goes home happy! We love the pumpkin patch!

Already?

Ben started pulling himself up a few weeks ago and today he is "helping" me unload the dishwasher. I love the help but I'm sad my little munchkin is growing up so fast!!

Pomeroy Farms

Timmy had his first field trip to Pomeroy Farms today. He was so excited and had a great time picking out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
At the farm they take the kids on a hay ride down "pumpkin lane". On pumpkin lane they made scarecrows using pumpkin heads. It is really cute because the scarecrows are all dressed up as different characters. Timmy said his favorite was spiderman and batman.
Now Timmy is itching to carve that pumpkin for Halloween!

Bee Day

The teachers at Matthew's school wanted to teach the kids what the world would be like with no bees. So to illustrate this they decided they would show the Bee Movie and call it "bee day". They wanted everyone to wear yellow or black or dress up like a bee. Matthew forgot to tell me and so when he woke up, he was a little sad he couldn't find a yellow shirt. I told him we could paint his hair black and put a yellow stripe down it. I decided he needed something else so I took yellow duct tape and wrapped it around him. He was not happy about the duct tape.
But I gave him a piece of candy and told him he better smile for the camera and when he got to school if he was still embarrassed he could take off the tape. If I wouldn't have been in such a hurry I would have made him wear an all black shirt which probably would have made the outfit look a little more like a bee.
When Matthew came home he said that he ended up keeping the tape on all day because, even though some kids said he looked creepy, most of them said he looked awesome! He decided that all in all it was a great day!
