This year we had to celebrate Matthew's birthday a little early. He turns 8 on November 18th and He has been waiting for his 8th birthday for a long time. When it finally got close the best day for Andy's surgery ended up being the 16th of November. So when we told him we needed to celebrate on the 13th, Matthew with his happy disposition said,"Does that mean I get to open my presents at the hospital?". Matthew has such a good attitude about everything and we love having him in our family.
We just had a family party this year and went bowling with Grandpa and Grandma and our cousins. For Matthew's cake he told me exactly what he wanted. He said he wanted two Jedi Knights fighting in a river of lava. He's has never seen the third Star Wars so I was kind of surprised that is what he asked for. He was very creative with the licorice and helped Andy decorate the whole thing.

He got brand new scriptures,
a ds game and a yo-yo
and a new suit.
