One of the best things about where we live is the scenery. We live about 45 minutes from a beautiful gorge where there are great hikes and amazing waterfalls. When Jon and Jenny came to visit we decided to spend a day in the gorge. The first waterfall we went to was called Horsetail Falls.

This is a great one for the little kids because you can walk down some stairs and stand in the water next to the waterfall.

After Horsetail we hiked a quarter of a mile up to Ponytail Falls.

It's hard to see but that's Scott down below. He was really cute with the little kids. He helped them climb down the rocks and reach out and try to touch the waterfall.

After the hike Sam needed to run around for a minute so Grandma let him splash around at the bottom of Horsetail Falls.

Bethany and Jaxson were immediate pals(according to Bethany) and found a place on the rocks to feel the wind of the waterfall on this hot day! They are so cute!

After the hike we were hungry so we stopped at the lodge and ate lunch at Multnomah Falls.

We hiked up to the bridge for our last adventure of the day. I like this waterfall more in the spring(more water coming off of it and less people) but it was still a great way to end the day in the gorge.

such beatiful waterfalls! We still think Oregon is one of our favorite vacations, it rivals Disneyland!
